Dr. Zadeh is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Implant Surgery. He has served as tenured associate professor, Director of the post-doctoral periodontology (2012 to 2019), as well as Chair of Periodontology Section (2003-2006) at USC Ostrow School of Dentistry. Dr. Zadeh graduated from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) with a BS degree, followed by Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from USC Ostrow School of Dentistry. He completed post-doctoral clinical training in periodontology, as well as a PhD degree in immunology, at the University of Connecticut Health Center (UCHC) School of Dental Medicine and School of Medicine, respectively. Dr. Zadeh has lectured nationally and internationally in over 30 countries at prestigious conferences on topics ranging from aesthetics to minimally invasive periodontal and implant surgery, as well as tissue engineering.Dr Zadeh served as president of the Western Society of Periodontology (WSP) in 2017, which is the largest regional periodontology society spanning the 16 western US states and Canadian provinces.
Dr Zadeh is the innovator of the VISTA technique recognized around the world as one of the most effective methods for the treatment of gum recession. He has also innovated many concepts and devices, which have been patented and developed into products in clinical use in many countries.
Dr. Zadeh has directed the Laboratory for Immunoregulation and Tissue Engineering (LITE) at USC, which is a scientific research group dedicated to studying basic mechanisms to regulate bone and tissue regeneration and destruction under healthy and disease states, as well as conducting clinical trials of dental implant outcomes. He has an extensive publication track, including over 60 publications in peer-reviewed journals and numerous book chapters. He serves as an editorial reviewer for many scientific journals.
He served as a chartered scientific reviewer to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and chaired a scientific panel at the NIH Center for Scientific Review. Dr. Zadeh has served as the director of USC International Periodontal and Implant Symposium. Dr. Zadeh is the recipient of many honors and awards, including outstanding teaching award and outstanding service award from USC Ostrow School of Dentistry and many research grants.
He is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Western Society of Periodontology (WSP), American Academy of Clear Aligners (AACA), Academy of Osseointegration (AO), American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), San Fernando Valley Dental Association (SFVDA) and Santa Barbara Ventura Dental Association (SBVDA).
Dr. Homa Zadeh has been happily married for over 23 years with two amazing daughters. He enjoys swimming, skiing, hiking, cooking and spending time with his family.
Dr. Ali Zadeh has over 35 years of experience as a periodontist. He completed his post-doctoral periodontology clinical training at New York University (NYU). Upon completion of his training, he remained at NYU as a full-time faculty for five years. He subsequently served as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Southern California (USC).Dr Zadeh is a pioneer in the field of implant surgery as one of the first periodontists to perform osseointegrated surgical implant therapy in Los Angeles beginning in the 1980’s. He believes strongly in lifelong learning and attends many continuing education programs at major academies throughout the year to stay abreast of the latest developments.
He also participates as an instructor in continuing education courses conducted on dental implants.
He is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), Academy of Osseointegration (AO), American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), and Santa Barbara Ventura Dental Association (SBVDA).
In his free time, he enjoys traveling, cooking, playing tennis and spending time with his family.
Dr. Sara Tanavoli earned her undergraduate Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA). She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at USC in 2001 and then completed a three-year post-doctoral residency specializing in periodontology in 2004. In addition, she completed Master of Science degree (MS) in craniofacial biology (CBY). Dr Tanavoli is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Implant Surgery. She primarily practices in the Woodland Hills area, focusing on implant surgical therapy and restoring periodontal health. Not only does Dr. Tanavoli exceed the expected number of hours needed for continuing education but she works alongside Dr. Zadeh during his hands-on courses as an instructor.Growing up in Germany, she is very meticulous and detail-oriented. She incorporates the latest techniques and material used for tissue regeneration and implant therapy to restore health and function for her patients.
In her free time, she enjoys painting, sculpting, learning foreign languages, reading about ancient civilizations and traveling.
Dr. Daftary received his D.D.S from the National University of Iran and has done post-graduate training in prosthodontics at Boston University. He has held a position as an Assistant Professor at New York University and was Associate Professor and the chair of the Department of Fixed Prosthodontics at the University Of Southern California School Of Dentistry from 1982-1992. Dr. Daftary has lectured nationally and internationally on the topics of Esthetics and Implant Prosthodontics . He has also developed and patented more than 20 patents in Implant Dentistry including the Anatomic Abutment and Bio-Esthetic System & AIS Implant System. He also has numerous publications in different topics in Prosthodontics. Dr. Daftary is a member of multiple dental organizations in California.
I was born and raised in the Ojai Valley where I live with my three sons. I have been working in dentistry for over 30 years. I started as a dental assistant and also worked as a member of the front office staff. I returned to school to get my degree in dental hygiene. I graduated from West Los Angeles College in 2006 where I served as vice-president of my class. I am the president of Sigma Phi Alpha chapter for West Los Angeles College and serve on the advisory board for accreditation. I have been actively involved with Ventura County Dental Hygiene Association as past president, trustee and membership chair. I am a member of the California Dental Hygiene association and the American Dental Hygiene Association. In addition to my hygiene license, I have a laser certification. I love the relationships I get to build with my patients; they are like family to me. I enjoy educating patients about their oral health and how they can improve on it. My hobbies include working out at the gym, hiking, playing with my dogs and traveling.
I have been in the dental field since 1995. After graduating from Rio Mesa High School and receiving my certification as a dental assistant from the Regional Occupational Program in Camarillo, I went on to receive my registered dental hygienist license at the Oxnard College School of Dental Hygiene in 2005. I have been part of our Brighton Periodontal & Implant Dental Group team since 2015. I am married and have two beautiful kids. In my free time, I enjoy spending time and making beautiful memories with my family, traveling and shopping.
Originally from the Philippines, Josie has lived in Los Angeles since 2006. She worked as an RDA in Los Angeles until she moved to Reseda in 2010 and came to work for Brighton Periodontal and Implant Dental Group as the main Dental Assistant for the Woodland Hills office. Josie received a BS in Dentistry from the University of the East in the Philippines in 1987 and her RDA license in 2008. Josie is a very hard worker who pays tremendous attention to detail. She is happily married with two children. Her interests include cleaning, watching movies, and cooking for her family.
Eilien received a BS in Dentistry from the Manila Central University in the Philippines in 1990 and her RDA license in 2008. She has worked as an RDA in the dental field for more than six years here in California. Eilien likes to attend seminars and learn new things about dentistry. Eilien is a warm, friendly, and courteous individual. She loves to spend time with her son and travel with her family.
